Kathona Géza az 1566 május 19-én Dávid Ferenc által Marosvásárhelyen tartott hitvitának magyar nyelvű nyomtatott cikkelyeit (RMNy 220.) összevetette annak Debreceni Ember Pál által közölt latin szövegével, és megállapította, hogy a magyar néhány kihagyástól eltekintve a latint követi. Feltételezte, hogy a marosvásárhelyi cikkelyek a kor igényeinek és szokásainak megfelelően latinul is megjelentek nyomtatásban. A magyarban levő kihagyásokból következik, hogy a latin – ha nem is okvetlenül a nyomtatás, de a keletkezés sorrendjében – a magyar fordítást megelőzte. A nyomtatás helye a magyar alapján Kolozsvárra tehető. (Hungarian)
