A kérdés-felelet formában szerkesztett főrész három könyvre oszlik: De elementis dialecticae, De dialectica judicatrice, De dialectica inventrice. A végén függelék: Exercitatio, qua usus praeceptorum dialecticae … per quaestiones monstrantur. A mű beosztása és a felhasznált grammatikai-logikai példák tanúsága szerint a forrás Melanchthonnak az 1520-tól ismételten átdolgozott dialektikája lehetett, amely Erotemata dialectices címmel először Wittenbergben 1547-ben jelent meg.
