A címlevél után kezdődő levélben a heidelbergi akadémia tanárai az erdélyi úrvacsora-vita során felmerült kérdésekre válaszolnak 1564 szeptemberi keltezéssel. A heidelbergi akadémia professzorainak állásfoglalását a kolozsvári református lelkipásztorok 1564 nyarán kérték, hogy az erdélyi szász evangélikusok püspökének, Matthias Heblernek Brevis confessiójával szemben hatásos ellenérveket kapjanak. Nagy Barna megállapította, hogy a levél szövegezésében jelentős szerepe lehetett a heidelbergi akadémia akkori dékánjának, Pierre Bouquin-nek. Szabó Károly és Gulyás Pál a tipográfiai ismertetőjegyek alapján állapította meg, hogy ez a nyomtatvány a kolozsvári műhelyben készült. (Hungarian)
